TYMEN VISSER

Born in 1984 in the Netherlands, Tymen Visser’s passion for art and design are inspired by metropolitan experiences through Europe, North Africa and Asia. 

Tymen's ability to see the traditional and interpret the modern through his signature use of bright colours and block print-like lines, has given him several opportunities to present his work in galleries throughout Japan and Europe. 

Still, driven by the desire to bring art to daily life, Tymen takes a new approach by recreating iconic elements of his paintings and repurposing them to fit any interior  home, school and office through KAAPETTO carpets. 

 

タイメン・フィッサー

１９８４年生まれ、オランダ出身のアーティスト。
彼のアートに対するインスピレーションは、ヨーロッパからアジアにわたる視覚的な経験に由来している。
近年は在住中の東京という大都市に刺激され、彼の創造に新たな道を開いた。
明るい色と版画のようなラインを使用した作品は、東京生活の近代的な側面を解釈しながら深い伝統を表現。
これらの作品は東京・横浜・ミラノ・アムステルダム・ロッテルダムのギャラリーでも展示された。

また、彼のアートが気軽に取り込めるラグ、クッション、携帯カバーの様なインテリアアイテムも製作。
その他、東京のセレクトショップで取り扱われている子供向けのヴィンテージジャケットブランド「SHOGUN EYES」も手掛ける。
彼のアート作品（絵画・デザイン・縫製品・スケートボード）は常にフレッシュで、まわりの環境と関連したものとなっている。
